Uses and synthesis of 2, 6-di-tert-Butylpyridine liquid

2, 6-di-tert-Butylpyridine liquid is a colorless liquid. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, acetone and hexane. In the gas phase, 2, 6-di-Tert-Butylpyridine CAS 585-48-8 is very basic, but in solution it is weakly basic, due to the obstruction of solvation space. Thus, 2, 6-di-Tert-Butylpyridine Raw Materials form hydrochloride with HCl, but do not react with MeI or BF3.
