Itraconazole powder is a triazole antifungal agent for use in patients with fungal infections. Itraconazole, a synthetic clotrimazole, is a broad spectrum synthetic antifungal agent. Its bacteriostatic spectrum and mechanism are similar to clotrimazole, but it has strong bacteriostatic activity against Aspergillus. Itraconazole powder exerts antifungal effects by changing the permeability of fungal cell membrane, and has antibacterial effects on both surface and deep fungal pathogens.
