RottapharmMadans is an anti-muscarine drug developed by the Italian company Rottapharmmadans, which was first marketed in Germany in 1990 and is widely used as an anti-incontinence drug in clinical practice. Trospium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound with anticholinergic and spasmolytic properties.
• This product acts on the M receptor innervated by cholinergic nerve and can antagonize the effect of acetylcholine on the M receptor. The parasympathetic blocking effect of Trospium chloride powder can cause the relaxation of the smooth muscle of the bladder and increase the bladder capacity. At therapeutic doses, Trospium chloride powder had little effect on nicotinic receptors.
