Product details
Agarose powder is a chain neutral polysaccharide composed of D-galactose and 3, 6-inner ether-l-galactose. It contains hydroxyl functional groups in its structural units and is prone to forming hydrogen bonds with hydrogen atoms in the structural units and water molecules surrounding the chain segments. When Agarose at low temperature, the agarose sugar chains rely on hydrogen bonding and intertwine with each other in a double helix to form a double helix structure, which is closely arranged and forms a gel, which is white and cloudy. At high temperatures, the hydrogen bonds in the structural units are broken and dispersed in water as random coils, the solution is clarified and transparent, and it is a polymer with special temperature responsiveness.
Applications/Functions of Agarose powder
Agarose powder can be used for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), lipoprotein and immunoelectrophoresis. Substrate for biochemical studies such as immunodiffusion. Studies in biology, immunology, biochemistry and microbiology. Agarose is used in the determination of hepatitis B antigen (HAA). Blood electrophoresis analysis. Determination of alpha-fetoglobulin. Diagnosis of hepatitis, liver cancer and cardiovascular diseases.
