Product details
Calcium oxalate powder also known as calcium oxalate, chemical formula CaC2O4. Molecular weight 128.10. Colorless cubic crystal. The relative density is 2.2. Monohydrate is a colorless crystal with a relative density of 2.2 and loses water when heated to 200℃. Insoluble in water and acetic acid, soluble in nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, decomposition into calcium carbonate and calcium oxide when burned. Calcium oxalate is used as an analytical reagent and as a carrier in the separation of rare earth metals. Calcium oxalate is also used in ceramic glazing and in the production of oxalic acid and organic oxalate. It is mostly used in industry to make lubricating oil esters and water repellents.
Applications/Functions of Calcium oxalate powder
Physicochemical Property of Calcium oxalate powder
Chemical formula CaC2O4.
Production methodprocess of Calcium oxalate powder
A dilute aqueous solution is prepared with refined CaCl2, which is co-heated with oxalic acid solution to react, precipitate, dissolve in hot hydrochloric acid, add ammonia to precipitate, the latter is washed in hot water, and dried at 105℃ to obtain monohydrate. The monohydrate was placed in a dry air stream at 250℃ and Calcium oxalate was obtained after constant weight.
