Tetraacetylribofuranose is generally produced by the degradation and acylation of nucleotides, and the main industrial production method of tetraacetylribofuranose is derived from nucleoside acetylation, cracking and crystallization. Tetraacetylribofuranose is an important intermediate for the production of antiviral drug ribavirin in the pharmaceutical industry.
