Benzophenone CAS 119-61-9 is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ethyl ether, chloroform and other organic solvents and monomers, insoluble in water.

• 3.Benzophenone CAS 119-61-9 is obtained by condensation of benzene and benzoyl chloride in the presence of aluminium chloride and then crystallised in ethanol.
