White crystalline powder. Solubility in 100g of the following solutions at 20℃: 42g/100g water, 0.55g/100g methanol. Almost insoluble in acetone, benzene and ether.

Production methodprocess of Guanidine carbonate powder

Guanidine salt (guanidine hydrochloride, guanidine nitrate) is produced by melting and reacting dicyanoammonia and ammonium salt at 170-230°C. Then guanidine salt is made into alcohol solution. Then make the guanidine salt into alcohol solution, add alkali to neutralise the guanidine to make it free, and absorb carbon dioxide to obtain Guanidine carbonate powder.
