Citral liquid, with its formula C10H16O, is one of the most important representatives of open-chain monoterpenes. Citral CAS 5392-40-5 is found in the oil of maple grass and litsea cubeba. Citral Raw Materials are mixtures of two geometric isomers.

• Citral liquid is obtained by oxidation of geranyl, nerolol or linalool with chromic acid as catalyst.
