Uses and synthesis of 1-Butanol liquid

1-Butanol liquid, also known as 1-butanol or butanol, is a type of alcohol with four carbon atoms per molecule and its formula is CH3CH2CH2CH2OH. 1-Butanol CAS 71-36-3 is a colorless, wine-smelling liquid at room temperature, and 1-Butanol Raw Materials are raw materials for the production of dibutyl phthalate, a plasticizer.

1. 1-Butanol liquid is used as an analytical reagent for chromatography and also for organic synthesis
2. 1-Butanol CAS 71-36-3 is an intermediate of the herbicides 2, 4-dibutylate, butachlor, pyrifluoxalin (Benazide), and pyrifluoxalin.
3. 1-Butanol Raw Materials are mainly used to prepare flavors such as banana, cream, whiskey and cheese.

Physicochemical Property of 1-Butanol liquid

Colorless liquid, alcohol flavor. The solubility in water at 20℃ is 7.7% (by weight), and the solubility of water in n-butanol is 20.1% (by weight). It is miscible with ethanol, ether and other organic solvents.

Production methodprocess of 1-Butanol liquid

The reaction is carried out with propylene, carbon monoxide and hydrogen on the catalytic bed. The catalyst is zeolite adsorbing cobalt salt or fatty acid cobalt. The reaction temperature is 130 ~ 160℃ and the reaction pressure is 20 ~ 25MPa. N-butanol aldehyde and isobutanol aldehyde are generated.
