Product details
Cobalt(II) hydroxide powder is a fine inorganic compound, generally rose red monoclinic or tetroidal crystals, decomposed when heated with a relative density of 3.597(15℃). Cobalt(II) hydroxide CAS 21041-93-0 is soluble in acid and ammonium salt solutions, but insoluble in water and ethanol. It is generally prepared by reacting cobalt salt with alkali metal hydroxide, or electrolyzing salt water with cobalt as anode. Cobalt(II) hydroxide Raw Materials are used to make cobalt salt raw materials, as desiccant for paints and varnishes, saturated liquid for batteries, catalyst for H2O2 decomposition, etc.
Applications/Functions of Cobalt(II) hydroxide powder
Physicochemical Property of Cobalt(II) hydroxide powder
Rose red rhombic crystal or powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in acid and ammonium salt solutions.
Production methodprocess of Cobalt(II) hydroxide powder
Various cobalt-containing wastes are dissolved by nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, and the obtained cobalt chloride solution is purified with hydrogen peroxide to remove iron, and sodium carbonate or ammonia water is added if necessary to ensure complete purification. The purified Cobalt chloride solution was added with sodium hydroxide to produce cobalt hydroxide, and then washed and centrifuged to obtain Cobalt(II) hydroxide Raw Materials.
