Zinc lactate powder, chemical formula Zn(C3H5O3)2·3H2O. Molecular weight 297.47. White rhombic crystal or powder (dextrorotatory) containing three molecules of crystal water. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether. Zinc lactate is used in the production of zinc supplement food, nutritional oral liquid, zinc supplement tablets and powder for children. Production methodprocess of Zinc lactate powder

13.0g calcium lactate (pentahydrate) and 12.1g zinc sulfate (heptahydrate) were added to 100mL water, stirred and heated for reflux reaction. After the reaction, the calcium sulfate precipitate (light blue and white powder) was removed by hot filtration and washing with water. The filtrate was a milky translucent liquid, and white crystal precipitated after cooling. Finally, the Zinc lactate powder is filtered, washed with water and dried
