Uses and synthesis of Trichlorosilane liquid
- Trichlorosilane liquid, also known as trichlorosilane and silicochloroform, is used as a raw material for polymer organosilicone compounds. Trichlorosilane is an inorganic compound with the formula SiHCl3. It is a colorless liquid, soluble in benzene, ethyl ether, heptane and other organic solvents, mainly used in the manufacture of silicone compounds. Trichlorosilane is not only an important intermediate for the manufacture of silane coupling agent and other silicone products, but also the main raw material for the manufacture of polysilicon.
- Silane coupling agent is an important, high-tech content, high added value of silicone composite materials, through silane coupling agent can make non-crosslinked resin crosslinked curing or modification, so it has been increasingly widely used in glass fiber, casting, tire rubber and other industries.
Applications/Functions of Trichlorosilane liquid
- Trichlorosilane liquid is used as a raw material for high molecular silicone compounds and in the instrument industry
- The raw material for the manufacture of organic silicon compounds, Trichlorosilane is also the basic raw material for the production of polysilicon.
Physicochemical Property of Trichlorosilane liquid
Colorless liquid. Soluble in carbon disulfide, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, benzene, etc.
Production methodprocess of Trichlorosilane liquid
Boiling chlorination silica powder is dried and added to a chlorination boiler to react with dry hydrogen chloride gas in the furnace at 340℃. The resulting crude Trichlorosilane liquid is separated by a wet dust collector and a tube condenser dedistillation column, and the trichlorosilane gas from the distillation column is condensed to produce a trichlorosilane liquid.
