​​​Berberine Sulfate powder is orange crystalline, odorless and bitter. The solubility of this product in water is 1:30. Slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in chloroform, insoluble in ether. Berberine Sulfate inhibits the oxidation of pyruvate in bacterial sugar metabolism, affecting the utilization of vitamin B6 and niacinamide by bacteria. It also inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA, RNA, proteins and lipids. Berberine Sulfate also forms complexes with DNA, affecting the replication of DNA. Interferes with bacterial reproduction.
