Sodium lactate powder, formula :C3H5O3Na. Molecular weight :112.06, colorless or almost colorless transparent liquid, can be dissolved with water, ethanol, glycerol. Sodium lactate is used in food preservation, moisturizing, flavoring and pharmaceutical raw materials. Sodium lactate powder as a food additive is not only safe and widely used, but also has multiple functions. In GB2760, sodium lactate can be used as six functional additives such as water retention agent, acidity regulator, antioxidant, leavening agent, thickener and stabilizer.

Applications/Functions of Sodium lactate powder

• Seasoning; pH regulator (e.g. for sake); Flavor improver; Anti-cold agent; Antioxidant synergist; Emulsifier; Quality improvers for baked goods (cakes, omelets, biscuits, etc.); Humectant; Cheese plasticizer.
• Sodium lactate powder is used for food preservation, moisturizing, flavoring and pharmaceutical raw materials. Sodium lactate is also a corrective for acidemia.
