Acetylspiramycin powder is suitable for mild to moderate infections caused by sensitive staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Streptococcus pneumoniae, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, periodontitis, acute bronchitis, acute episodes of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, nongonococcal urethritis, skin and soft tissue infections. Acetylspiramycin may also be used for sporoplasmosis, or as a drug of choice for the treatment of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women.
