DL-Alanine powder is white crystalline solid powder at room temperature and pressure. It is the basic unit of protein and one of the 21 amino acids that make up human protein. DL-Alanine is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in ether or acetone. Dl-alanine is related to glucose metabolism and is a very important bioactive substance. DL-Alanine has a special sweetness, sweeter than sand sugar, 1.6 times as sweet as glycine, is one of the sweetest amino acids. Alanine is a non-essential amino acid to the human body, but it can produce reversible transformation of pyruvate, related to sugar metabolism, and is a very important substance in physiological processes. Mainly used as a food additive, can be used alone, can also be made with sodium glutamate and other compound condiments, single application is mainly as a pickles and sweet sauce pickling additives. Colorless to white odorless acicular crystal or crystalline powder. There is sweetness. The taste threshold is 0.06%. The rhombic crystal system is recrystallized from water-ethanol solution, and the acicular crystal or crystalline powder is recrystallized from water.
