Tyrosine, abbreviated as Tyr or Y or 4-hydroxyphenylalanine, is one of the 22 amino acids used by cells to synthesize proteins, and can be used to synthesize proteins in cells. Tyrosine is an aromatic amino acid, which exists in various proteins, especially rich in milk casein, and contains phenol group in the molecule. L-Tyrosine is a white acicular crystal or crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Melting point 344℃ (decomposition). Slightly soluble in water (0.04%, 25℃), insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, ether and acetone, soluble in alkali solution. Pure products are stable, and easy to decompose when hydrocarbons coexist.
