D-pantothenic acid powder is an organic compound. It is a white crystalline solid, odorless. D-pantothenic acid is a water-soluble substance, soluble in ethanol and ether. It is acidic and reacts with bases. D-pantothenic acid can be used to treat surface dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and other skin inflammation. Used in feed additives, medicine and food additives. Sodium pantothenate is also used in beverage additives, but it is strong in hygroscopic, and pantothenic acid is now used. D-pantothenic acid can usually be prepared by chemical synthesis
