2,4-Dihydroxybenzophenone powder, also known as Octocrilene, is a commonly used sunscreen. It can effectively absorb ultraviolet A band (UVA) and B band (UVB). 2,4-Dihydroxybenzophenone is a commonly used organic UV absorber. It is a colorless crystalline powder with good thermal and light stability. 2,4-Dihydroxybenzophenone has a high absorption capacity in the ultraviolet region (200-400 nm wavelength) and is able to effectively absorb ultraviolet light, thereby protecting organic materials from ultraviolet light damage.
