The cis isomer is yellow oil. The trans isomer is rhombohedral crystals (water). Soluble in hot water, ethanol and ethyl acetate. More soluble in ether, slightly soluble in benzene and petroleum ether.

• (1)Extracted from plant materials with high ferulic acid content such as Angelica sinensis, vanilla bean, wheat bran and rice bran, then Ferulic Acid CAS 1135-24-6 is obtained by alkaline hydrolysis or enzymatic hydrolysis.
• (2) Chemical synthesis: vanillin and malonic acid as raw materials were synthesised by Kno-evngael reaction.
• (3) Biosynthesis: Ferulic Acid Raw Materials were obtained by converting Ferulic Acid precursor substances using some microorganisms .
