Product details
Vitamin U powder is derived from a "U" for an ulcer. As the name suggests, Vitamin U is an anti-ulcer agent. Found in cabbage juice in 1954, it is mainly used for the adjuvant treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, ulcerative colitis, gastrointestinal motor weakness and chronic gastritis, and can promote the repair and healing of the wound surface of the gastrointestinal mucosa and improve the gastrointestinal motor function. Vitamin U is not an essential trace element used to sustain human life, so it is not part of the true vitamin system. The most common sources of Vitamin U are natural green cabbage leaves, as well as alfalfa sprouts, spinach, kale, tomatoes, celery, wheat, turnips and radishes.
Applications/Functions of Vitamin U powder
Pharmacological Action of Vitamin U powder
Vitamin U is an anti-ulcer factor, a high-energy substance with physiological activity (12 kcal/g molecule). It is an active methyl donor in the body, promoting the anabolism of thymine and choline, and can methylate histamine into inactive methylhistamine.
Health experts generally recommend that vitamin U be taken directly from fresh vegetables and various fermented foods, because cooking may reduce the content of vitamin U. It is mainly used as an anti-ulcer agent in the clinic to treat gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers. It is not an essential nutrient for the human body.
Application of Vitamin U raw.
Vitamin U is a compound found in fresh vegetables. It is mainly used clinically to treat ulcers, colitis and gastritis, and affects intestinal secretion, acid formation and enzyme function.
In real life, vitamins are often referred to as drugs or other products that supplement vitamins and trace elements or other nutrients needed by the human body, so the definition is vague; but in biology, strictly speaking, vitamin U is not a real vitamin, but a pseudo-vitamin, which can only be regarded as a nutrient element.
