Menadione powder is white or quasi-white crystalline powder, caked after hygroscopic. It is easily soluble in water and hot ethanol, difficult to dissolve in ice ethanol, insoluble in benzene and aqueous solution PH4.7-7. Stable at room temperature, easy to decompose when exposed to light. Menadione is a procoagulant, which can be used to treat some bleeding disorders caused by vitamin K deficiency.
