Phenylethyl resorcinol is a highly effective ingredient in the whitening industry and is known as the "Hermes of the whitening industry". It has a strong antioxidant effect and can strongly inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, thereby reducing the production of melanin and achieving a whitening effect. Skin tests show that under conditions without exposure to light, a concentration of 0.5% phenylethyl resorcinol is more effective than a concentration of 1% kojic acid. - 0.2mol2, 4-diacetoxystyrene was put into a three-mouth flask with stirring, 4mol benzene and 0.001mol p-methylbenzene sulfonic acid were put into the flask, and the temperature was raised to 80℃ for reflux and maintained for 5 hours.
