Dipotassium Phosphate powder Raw Materials CAS 7758-11-4 Details
Uses and synthesis of Dipotassium Phosphate powder
Dipotassium Phosphate powder is colourless flaky or needle-like crystals or white granules. It is deliquescent, Dipotassium Phosphate CAS 7758-11-4 is easily soluble in water (1g dissolved in 3mL water), the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, 1% aqueous solution pH is about 9, insoluble in ethanol.
Dipotassium Phosphate Raw Materials can be used as analytical reagents, pharmaceutical raw materials, buffering agent in the food industry, chelating agent, yeast food, emulsification salt, antioxidant synergist.
Applications / Functions of Dipotassium Phosphate powder
- Dipotassium Phosphate powder Used as antifreeze corrosion inhibitor, antibiotic culture medium nutrient, fermentation industry phosphorus and potassium regulator, feed additives and so on.
- Dipotassium Phosphate Raw Materials Used in medicine, fermentation, bacterial culture and the production of potassium pyrophosphate, etc.
- Dipotassium Phosphate CAS 7758-11-4 is used as feed phosphorus additive.
- Used as water quality treatment agent, microorganism and bacteria culture agent, etc.
- Commonly used as analytical reagent and buffer, also used in pharmaceutical industry.
- Dipotassium Phosphate Raw Materials Used in the food industry as a raw material for alkaline water for pasta products, as a fermentation agent, flavouring agent, bulking agent, mild alkaline agent for dairy products, and as a yeast food. Used as buffering agent, chelating agent.
- Analytical reagent. Buffer. Pharmaceuticals.
Dipotassium Phosphate powder is used for boiler water treatment. Used in medicine and fermentation industry as phosphorus and potassium regulator, bacterial culture medium. It is the raw material for manufacturing potassium pyrophosphate. Used as liquid fertiliser, corrosion inhibitor for glycol antifreeze. Feed grade is used as feed nutrient supplement.
It is used as a texture improver to increase the complexation of metal ions, pH value and ionic strength of foodstuffs, thus improving the adhesion and water retention of foodstuffs.
Physicochemical Property of Dipotassium Phosphate powder
White crystalline or amorphous powder. Easily soluble in water, aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. Slightly soluble in alcohol.
Production methodprocess of Dipotassium Phosphate powder
Under constant stirring, add potassium carbonate solution into 30% phosphoric acid solution to react, the neutralisation end point is PH8.5-9.0 (phenolphthalein indicator just shows red). The neutralised solution is concentrated to 120-124°C and then filtered to remove insoluble matter, then cooled to below 20°C, crystallised, centrifuged and dried to obtain Dipotassium Phosphate CAS 7758-11-4, and the mother liquor is sent to the neutralisation process for reuse.
