Uses and synthesis of Lead Stearate powder
Lead Stearate powder, also known as lead octadecanoate CAS 1072-35-1, is mainly used as stabiliser for PVC, thickening agent for lubricating oil, levelling agent for paint, etc. It can be used as a stabilising agent for PVC, a thickening agent for lubricating oil, and a levelling agent for paint.
Applications / Functions of Lead Stearate powder
- Lead Stearate Raw Materials Used as translucent heat-resistant stabiliser for PVC plastics, thickening agent for lubricating oil.
- Lead Stearate powder Used as paint drying agent.
- Lead Stearate CAS 1072-35-1 Mainly used as stabiliser of PVC, thickening agent of lubricating oil, levelling agent of paint, etc.
Physicochemical Property of Lead Stearate powder
White fine powder. Insoluble in ethanol, soluble in ether, slightly soluble in water.
Production methodprocess of Lead Stearate powder
Compound decomposition method is adopted. First dissolve stearic acid in 20 times the weight of hot water, add caustic soda with a concentration of 10 boe at about 90℃ to produce dilute soap. Then, lead nitrate solution was added at the same temperature for compound decomposition. The resulting stearic acid precipitate is washed with water, centrifuged and dehydrated, and then dried at about 100°C to obtain Lead Stearate Raw Materials.
