Vitamin B12 powder Raw Materials CAS 68-19-9
Product Overview:
Vitamin B12 powder, also referred to as VB12, also known as Cyanocobalamin, one of the B vitamins, is a class of cobalt-containing complex organic compounds called coraline. Vitamin B12 powder is dark red crystal or crystalline powder, odorless, tasteless and highly moisture-inducing. Slightly soluble in water or ethanol, insoluble in chloroform or ether. It is resistant to heat, but ineffective in the presence of oxidizing or reducing substances (such as Vitamin C or hydrogen peroxide), heavy metal salts, and strong acids and bases. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 powder can lead to anemia and neurological disorders. Vitamin B12 is used to treat megaloblastic anemia, nutritional dysplasia, hemorrhagic anemia, neuralgia, and other disorders

Applications/Functions of Vitamin B12 powder
- Vitamin B12 powder is used as a dietary nutrient booster. It has anti-anemia effect and is effective for pernicious anemia, nutritional anemia and parasitic anemia.
- Vitamin B12 is used to treat megaloblastic anemia, nutritional dysplasia, hemorrhagic anemia, neuralgia, and other disorders
- Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to anemia and neurological disorders.
Physicochemical Property of Vitamin B12 powder
Dark red crystal or crystalline powder. No bromine, odorless. No melting at 300℃. The color becomes darker at 210 ~ 220℃. It is hygroscopic and can absorb 12% moisture in the air, and its water crystals are stable in the air. Soluble in water and alcohol, insoluble in acetone, chloroform and ether. Its water solubility is neutral, and the most stable at pH4.5 ~ 5. It can be slowly hydrolyzed in alkaline or strongly acidic solutions.
Production methodprocess of Vitamin B12 powder
Vitamin B12 powder was prepared by the fermentation of Streptomyces griseae. The fermentation solution was acidified, adsorbed, eluted, purified, converted with 1% cyanide, and then extracted, concentrated, chromatography-crystallized by solvent and water repeatedly.
