Cobalt chloride hexahydrate powder Raw Materials CAS 7791-13-1
Product Overview:
Cobalt chloride hexahydrate powder is a kind of inorganic substance, which is ahydrate of cobalt chloride with the chemical formula CoCl2·6H2O. It is a red monoclinic crystal and easy to be chaozed. Red or purplish red monoclinic crystal. It has deliquescence. Cobalt chloride hexahydrate dissolves in water, glycerin, ethanol, acetone, and ether. Melting point 87℃; d20 1.924. Its aqueous solution becomes blue by heating or adding concentrated hydrochloric acid, chloride or organic solvent. Analytical reagent, Cobalt chloride hexahydrate is used for trace analysis of zinc. It is also used as an ammonia absorber, an indicator of humidity and moisture, and in the manufacture of barometers, hydrometers, and invisible inks.
