Poly(hexamethylenebiguanide)hydrochloride (PHMB) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and yeast. Poly(hexamethylenebiguanide)hydrochloride is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid, in which the guanidine group has high activity, can make the polymer positive, and is easily adsorbed by various bacteria and viruses with negative electricity, thus inhibiting the division ability of bacterial viruses. To make it lose the ability to reproduce, coupled with the polymer formed by the film blocked the microbial breathing channels, so that microorganisms quickly died.
