    Product Overview:

2,2'-Dihydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxybenzophenone powder Light yellow crystal. Melting point 139-140℃. Soluble in ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone and toluene, insoluble in water. 2,2' -dihydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxybenzophenone is a benzophenone UV absorber. Ultraviolet absorber is the most commonly used light stabilizer at present, which is a class of substances that can strongly and selectively absorb high-energy ultraviolet light, and convert energy to release or consume energy in the form of thermal energy or harmless low-energy radiation. Benzophenone containing an ortho-hydroxyl group absorbs only ultraviolet light below 380nm and almost no visible light. 2,2'-Dihydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxybenzophenone has a strong absorption in the wavelength range of 270-380nm and is suitable for polyvinyl chloride, acrylic resins, epoxy resins, phenolic resins, cellulose nitrate and polyurethanes. However, the product can absorb part of the visible light, making the product slightly yellow.
