Applications/Functions of Streptomycin sulfate powder
- Streptomycin sulfate powder is used for the treatment of tuberculosis, infective endocarditis caused by Brucella and non-Streptococcus haemolyticus, plague and tularemia, influenzae and gram-negative bacilli infections
- Streptomycin sulfate is a bactericide probably produced by its direct action on bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting protein synthesis, mainly for extracellular (including intracellular) tuberculosis bacilli.
