supply tocotrienol powder Vitamin E Details
tocotrienol powder Usage and Synthesis.
These special functions of tocotrienol are related to its structure. Since tocotrienol contains unsaturated side chains, it can more effectively penetrate into tissues containing saturated fatty acid layers, such as the brain and liver. It can also be easily distributed in the lipid layer of the cell membrane, thus playing a good role in anti-oxidation and scavenging free radicals.
Uses of tocotrienol powder.
Vitamin E is an important antioxidant, and this property is directly related to the phenolic group on the benzophenone ring. Tocotrienol can scavenge free radicals and inhibit the production of hydrogen peroxide and alkoxy groups in lipid peroxidation.
Further research has shown that α-tocotrienol has a superior antioxidant function, which may be related to its structural characteristics. First, under the action of a reducing agent, α-tocotrienol molecules can be effectively reduced; second, α-tocotrienol can be evenly distributed in the lipid layer of the cell membrane; third, because α-tocotrienol can be well soluble in membrane lipids, the lipid structure of the cell membrane becomes disordered, which is more conducive to the interaction between α-tocotrienol and free radicals in lipids.
.
Function of tocotrienol.
The molecular mechanism of tocotrienol in lowering cholesterol is related to its unique side chain structure. The side chain of tocotrienol can increase the content of the metabolic intermediate farnesol, which can promote the degradation of HMGR (HMG-COA reductase) by proteases (Figure 2).
In vitro experiments have shown that the inhibition of HMGR activity by tocotrienol is not only directly related to its side chain structure, but also to the groups on the ring. γ-tocotrienol and δ-tocotrienol lack 5'-methyl groups, but can also inhibit the activity of HMGR, and the effect is better than α-tocotrienol.
