Methyltrichlorosilane CAS 75-79-6 is synthesized directly with silicon powder in the presence of cuprous chloride catalyst to produce a mixture of methylchlorosilane, which is purified by distillation to obtain the product dimethyl dichlorosilane, and then separated and purified by reduced-pressure distillation.

Store in a cool, ventilated room. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Storage temperature should not exceed 37℃. Package should be sealed and not in contact with air. It should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids and alkalis, etc. Do not mix them.

Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities. Prohibit the use of spark-prone machinery and tools. The storage area should be equipped with spill emergency treatment equipment and suitable shelter materials.
