Uses and synthesis of Hypericin powder.Antidepressant effect: Hypericum extract (of which hyperforin is one of the main active ingredients) has been widely used to treat mild to moderate depression. Its mechanism of action may be related to affecting the reuptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine.

Pharmacological Action of Hypericin powder.
1. Antidepressant effect:
Affecting the reuptake of neurotransmitters: Hypericin may inhibit the reuptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine by presynaptic neurons, thereby increasing the concentration of these neurotransmitters in the synaptic cleft and exerting an antidepressant effect.
