N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone liquid NMP, molecular formula :C5H9NO, colorless to yellowish transparent liquid, slightly ammonia odor, miscible with water in any proportion, soluble in ether, acetone, ester, halogenated hydrocarbon, aromatic and other organic solvents, almost completely mixed with all solvents. N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone has the advantages of low viscosity, good chemical and thermal stability, high polarity, low volatility, and infinite miscibility with water and many organic solvents.
