• Sodium carbonate powder is dissolved in neutralisation pot, then add propionic acid to neutralise to pH=7～8, neutralisation temperature 70～100℃, neutralisation time 2～3h, neutralisation solution is filtered to remove insoluble matter, the clear liquid is concentrated, cooled, crystallised, separated and dried to obtain Sodium propionate powder.
• Sodium propionate CAS 137-40-6 is produced by neutralising propionic acid with sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate.
