Insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in many organic solutions. Heating to more than 120℃ decomposition, release hydrogen chloride gas, iron, zinc and other oxides will promote decomposition.

Production methodprocess of Chlorinated paraffin liquid

The measured liquid paraffin was added to the reactor, and the sulfoxide chloride was added under stirring. After reflux for 5 ~ 7h, the excess sulfoxide chloride was recovered under normal pressure. Water and NaOH aqueous solution were washed successively and dehydrated to a water content less than 2%. The effluent was Chlorinated paraffin CAS 63449-39-8.
