Uses and synthesis of Hemin powder

Hemin powder is a metal porphyrin compound with relatively simple structure, formed by the complexation of a molecule of ferrous and protoporphyrin. It is a group substitute of natural heme in vitro, and its chemical properties are similar to those of heme. Then Hemin (also known as iron porphyrin, heme chloride, hemin) was extracted from pig and cow blood and recognized by modern medicine as a biological iron source with high absorption rate and good effect in preventing and treating iron deficiency anemia.
