Product details

Hexafluorosilic Acid Usage and Synthesis:

Hexafluorosilicic Acid is an inorganic compound that is a clear, colorless, fuming liquid in aqueous solution. It has a pungent odor and evaporates easily. Soluble in water. Toxic and strongly corrosive to skin. Fluorosilicic acid has disinfection properties and can corrode glass, ceramics, lead and other metals, and should be stored in iron, wax or plastic containers. The original drug colorless transparent with acidic solution, generated by the action of silicon tetrafluoride and water. In the production of calcium superphosphate, apatite and sulfuric acid action, the acidification reaction released hydrogen fluoride, through several cycles of cold water absorption into aqueous solution of fluorosilicic acid, rust bacteria, black powder bacteria, other mold has a strong bactericidal effect.

Hexafluorosilic Acid Liquid

Pharmacokinetics of Hexafluorosilic Acid:
Hexafluorosilicic Acid is chemically unstable and decomposes readily at room temperature (about 50%) into silicon tetrafluoride and hydrogen fluoride. The aqueous solution is strongly acidic, generally 60% of the aqueous solution can be produced, and the strength of the acid is comparable to that of sulfuric acid. When the concentrated solution (60-70%) is cooled, a colorless fluorosilicic acid with two molecules of water (melting point 19℃) is precipitated. 13.3% aqueous solution of fluorosilicic acid is the most stable and does not decompose when distilled. It is made from silicon dioxide dissolved in hydrofluoric acid or mixed with quartz powder, calcium fluoride and concentrated sulfuric acid and then heated. It can also be obtained by absorbing silicon tetrafluoride gas from phosphate fertilizer plant with water when decomposing phosphate ore. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. The temperature of the warehouse should not exceed 30℃ and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%.

Hexafluorosilic Acid

Clinical Application of Hexafluorosilic Acid:
Hexafluorosilicic Acid is used in metal plating, wood preservation and beer disinfection. It is also used as a raw material for the production of fluorosilicates and silicon tetrafluoride. Fluorosilicic acid is also used as an additive in some electroplating. Fluorosilicic acid or salts used for chromium plating can have similar effect with sulfate, and can improve the current efficiency to about 20%, brightness is increased, and the bright current density range is widened; fluorosilicic acid has activation effect on chromium plating layer, and the power-off time is short, and the bonding force is almost unaffected when plating is continued, so fluorosilicic acid is a necessary component to be added in chromium barrel plating; fluorosilicic acid can Reduce the current density of chromium plating, improve the covering ability of the layer, but increase the corrosiveness of the plating solution.
