Product details
Mebendazole powder is white, white or yellowish crystalline powder. This product is easily soluble in formic acid, slightly soluble in glacial acetic acid, very slightly soluble in acetone or chloroform, insoluble in water. Mebendazole belongs to the benzoimidazole carbamate class, which was synthesized and put into clinic in 1971 and approved by FDA in 1974. Mebendazole is suitable for the elimination of intestinal parasitic infection, hindrance the formation of the microtubule system of parasitic cells, and inhibit the cell cycle at G2/M stage, thus affecting cell mitosis. It has the characteristics of wide spectrum, high efficiency and high safety.
Mebendazole is a derivative of benzimidazole. It is a broad-spectrum drug against intestinal worms such as roundworm, hookworm, pinworm, whipworm, tapeworm and strongyloides faecalis. Mebendazole powder affects a variety of biochemical metabolic pathways. Binding to insect beta-tubulin inhibits microtubule aggregation, thereby inhibiting secretory particle transport and other subcellular movements.
Applications/Functions of Mebendazole powder
Physicochemical Property of Mebendazole powder
White to light yellow crystalline powder, odorless, tasteless. Melting point 288.5℃. Soluble in formaldehyde, formic acid, glacial acetic acid and bitter almond oil, insoluble in water. Non-hygroscopic, stable in air.
Production methodprocess of Mebendazole powder
4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid was chlorinated with sulfone chloride, condensed with benzene under the catalysis of aluminum trichloride, aminated and reduced to 3, 4-diaminobenzophenone, and then cyclically synthesized into Mebendazole powder.
