Uses and synthesis of Amitraz powder

Amitraz powder is also known as fenacol, difenamidine, and carpopide. It is a kind of broad-spectrum formamidine acaricide, belonging to the medium toxicity acaricide. Amitraz is a white or yellow needle-like crystal with some carbamine taste, slightly soluble in water and soluble in a variety of organic solvents such as xylene, acetone and methanol. Amitraz has the functions of touching, resisting food, repellent, gastric toxicity, fumigation and inhalation. It is effective against all species of phyllophoridae, but not effective against overwintering eggs. The effect lasts for 40 to 50 days. Amitraz powder can be mixed with organophosphorus, pyrethroids, abamectin and other pesticides, which has synergic effect and can expand the insecticidal spectrum. The mixed preparation consists of 10.8% acvi - dimethyl butter.

3. Amitraz is also used to control cotton bollworm and red bollworm. Ticks, mites, scabies, etc., to control domestic parasites. Diformamidine is one of the most effective acaricides.
