Product details
Sialic Acid powder, also known as Sialic Acid (SA) or bird's nest acid, is a naturally occurring amino sugar originally isolated from bovine submandibular mucin, hence the name sialic acid. Sialic Acid CAS 131-48-6 is a nine-carbon monosaccharide derivative containing an amino group, and is the general term for all N-or O-derivatives of neuraminic acid or keto-deoxynononelonic acid (KDN). Sialic Acid Raw Materials usually exist in the form of oligosaccharides, glycolipids, or glycoproteins, mainly in the form of short chain residues at the ends of glycoproteins and glycolipids. The main sources of sialic acid are breast milk and dairy products.
Applications/Functions of Sialic Acid powder
Sialic Acid powder is a carbohydrate widely found in nature and is an essential component of many glycoproteins, glycopeptides, and glycolipids, with a wide range of biological functions, such as regulation of blood protein half-life, neutralization of multiple toxins, cell adhesion, immune antigenic antibody response, and protection against cell lysis. Biochemical derivatives of Sialic Acid CAS 131-48-6 are also commonly used in the synthesis of drugs.
Physicochemical Property of Sialic Acid powder
Sialic Acid Raw Materials are colorless, soluble in water, and do not undergo rotations in aqueous solutions. Pure and light ethylphthalein neuramic acid are stable in aqueous solution and do not change when stored at 4℃ for several months.
