L-Arabinose powder is a commonly used food additive, also known as pectin sugar, L-arabinose, L-apenose, and its appearance is orthogonal prism crystal at room temperature. Melting point 159.5℃; Very soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ethanol. L-Arabinose can be obtained by local hydrolysis of mespritegum. Its stability to heat and acid is high. As a low-calorie sweetener, L-Arabinose has been approved as a health food additive by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare.

L-Arabinose is a white crystalline powder. No smell. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether, methanol and acetone, 1 part soluble in 48 parts 90% ethanol at 12℃.
