Production method of P-isopropylphenol Powder
- Under the protection of nitrogen, add 188g (2mol) phenol, 0.94g solid acid H2SO4-SiO2 and 300ml toluene into the reactor, heat up to 85℃, keep the temperature at 85℃, add 118g (1mol) α-methylstyrene dropwise into the reactor, control the dropwise acceleration of α-methylstyrene, make the dropwise addition in 1 hour, then continue the reaction at 85℃ for 20-40 minutes. Then continue the reaction for 20~40 minutes at 85℃ to obtain the reaction solution.
- Filter the reaction solution, remove the solid acid H2SO4-SiO2, add 200ml of 0.5% aqueous sodium bicarbonate to the filtrate to extract the organic phase, and then extract the organic phase twice with deionized water (2×200ml), take the organic phase, spin dry the toluene, add 450ml of n-hexane and toluene mixture (1:1v/v), recrystallize, precipitate white crystals 169.6g, yield 80%. The yield was 80%.
