Applications/Functions of Cimetidine powder
- Histamine H2 receptor antagonist. Cimetidine powder can inhibit the gastric acid secretion induced by histamine stimulation, the gastric acid secretion induced by food, pentaglacin, caffeine and insulin, and the basic gastric acid secretion. Production methodprocess of Cimetidine powder
The intermediate (I) and 2-aminoethylmercaptol hydrochloride react in the presence of hydrogen bromide and then neutralize with potassium carbonate to obtain the compound (II). Then it reacts with the corresponding thiourea to produce Cimetidine powder.
