Amikacin Disulfate is a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic with similar antibacterial spectrum to gentamicin. It is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Proteus. Amikacin Disulfate is also effective against other aminoglycoside antibiotic resistant strains. It is mainly used in pyelonephritis, urinary tract infection, respiratory tract and lung infection, septicemia caused by sensitive bacteria.
