Phthalic Anhydride Powder Usage and Synthesis:

Phthalic Anhydride, abbreviated as PA, is a white scaly solid or powder, or white needle crystal with slight odor, specific gravity 1.527(4℃), melting point 130.8℃, boiling point 284.5℃, easily sublimated, slightly soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water and hydrolyzed to phthalic acid, soluble in ethanol, benzene and pyridine, slightly soluble in ether. It is an important organic chemical raw material and a general anti-coking agent for natural rubber, isoprene rubber, butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber and nitrile rubber, which can prevent scorching and improve operational safety.

Pharmacokinetics of Phthalic Anhydride Powder:
Phthalic Anhydride is used in place of phthalic acid and reacts primarily with monohydric alcohols to form esters such as dibutyl phthalate and dioctyl phthalate, both of which are important plasticizers. It is prepared by catalytic oxidation of naphthalene or o-xylene, which is now used by most manufacturers, including our company. Phthalic anhydride condenses with polyols (e.g. glycerol, pentaerythritol) to produce polyarylate resins, which are used in the paint industry; if condensed with ethylene glycol and unsaturated acids, it produces unsaturated polyester resins, which can be used to make insulation paint and glass fiber reinforced plastics. Phthalic anhydride is also a raw material for the synthesis of benzoic acid and terephthalic acid, and is also used in drug synthesis.

Phthalic Anhydride is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, electronic, agricultural, coating, fine chemical and other industrial sectors. Phthalic anhydride is an intermediate of fungicide sterilizer, insecticide imidacloprid and herbicide methomyl. It is mainly used in the production of phthalic anhydride plasticizers, consuming about 60% of the total phthalic anhydride consumption, 25% of dyes and paints, and about 15% of unsaturated resins and other products.
