zinc salt CAS 557-07-3 can be produced by the complex decomposition reaction between potassium oleate and zinc sulfate.

1. An ethanol solution of potassium oleate is mixed with a slight excess of aqueous zinc sulphate and subjected to a complex decomposition reaction, resulting in a soap-like zinc oleate precipitate which is washed thoroughly with water until no sulphate ions are present.
2. The free acid is then washed off with a little ethanol. After evacuation the resulting solid can be recrystallised with benzene and then dried under vacuum in the presence of phosphorus pentoxide to give zinc salt Raw Materials.
