Applications / Functions of Benzoin powder
- Benzoin powder is used in the production of benzoyl, etc. It is also used in the production of antiepileptic drug phenytoinna, anticholinergic drug gastrofibromyalgia and antigastric spirit in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Benzoin CAS 579-44-2 can also be used in the production of dyes. Benzene diphenyl ether can be used as photo-sensitiser for photopolymeric resins, photogravure inks and light-curing paints. More recently, they have been used in quick-drying coatings.

Production methodprocess of Benzoin powder
Benzaldehyde reacts in hot potassium cyanide or sodium cyanide in ethanol solution to produce benzene coupling.
