Diethylenetriamine CAS 111-40-0 Details
Diethylenetriamine CAS 111-40-0 is a light yellow liquid that can be miscible with water, ethanol and acetone. Diethylenetriamine is mainly used as a solvent and intermediate in organic synthesis. Diethylenetriamine Raw Materials have irritating ammonia odor. Diethylenetriamine can be used to manufacture gas purifier, lubricating oil additive, emulsifier, photographic chemical, surfactant, fabric finishing agent, paper enhancer, etc.
Diethylenetriamine Properties:
Diethylenetriamine is a light yellow liquid, which can be miscible with water, ethanol and acetone. It is mainly used as solvent and intermediate in organic synthesis. Chemical properties Yellow hygroscopic transparent viscous liquid with irritating ammonia odor. Soluble in water, acetone, benzene, ether, methanol and so on, insoluble in n-heptane. Used for synthesis of polyamide resin, surfactant, lubricant, epoxy resin curing agent, etc. Divinethylene triamine is widely used in industry as curing agent, antidote, emulsifier and solvent of epoxy resin, which has strong alkalinity and good water solubility. For example, diethylenetriamine reacts with AFB1 to form detoxification products, which greatly improves the water solubility of detoxification products and reduces the content of AFB1 in peanut meal.
Diethylenetriamine Uses:
Diethylenetriamine is mainly used as a solvent and intermediate in organic synthesis, Used for producing gas purifier (for CO2 removal), lubricating oil additives, emulsifiers, photographic chemicals, surfactants, fabric finishing agents, paper enhancers, ammonia carboxylating agents, ash free additives, metal chelating agents, heavy metal hydrometallurgy and cyanide free electroplating diffuser, brightener, ion exchange resin and polyamide resin, etc. The color fixing agent SuprafixDFC (SuprafixDFC) was prepared by the reaction of diethylenetriamine and dicyandiamide: 30.9 parts of diethylenetriamine were added into the reactor with gear stirring, and 24.8 parts of dicyandiamide was added under stirring. When the temperature rises to 100℃, ammonia begins to be released, and then the temperature rises slowly to 145-160℃, and the material gradually becomes viscous from liquid. After 5-8 hours of reaction, the reactant is released, cooled and crushed. Similar fixing agents can be obtained by the reaction of ethylenediamine, triethyltetramine, tetraethylpentamine with dicyandiamide, or by the reaction of ethylenetriamine with guanidine carbonate.
In addition, the ester ratio of diethylenetriamine and dicyandiamide is different, the degree of viscosity of the product is different. This type of fixing agent is used for dyeing direct dyes after treatment to improve fastness, especially for washing. With 0.3% fixing agent for treatment, the washing fastness of cotton cloth can be improved from grade 1 to 4-5. Diethylenetriamine is a highly active epoxy resin curing agent, mainly used in laminate products, casting products, adhesives and coatings, etc., the general dosage is 5-10, but this kind of aliphatic polyamine is water soluble, high vapor pressure, irritating to the operator's skin, so a variety of modified varieties have been developed.
Diethylenetriamine synthesis:
It is obtained by ammoniation of dichloroethane. 1, 2-dichloroethane and ammonia water were fed into a tubular reactor for hot pressing ammonification at 150-250℃ and 392.3kPa. The reaction solution was neutralized with alkali to obtain mixed free amine. After concentration and removal of sodium chloride, the crude product was then distilled under vacuum pressure and the fraction between 195-215℃ was intercepted to obtain the finished product. This method can simultaneously produce ethylenediamine, triethyltetramine, tetraethylenepentamine and polyethylenepolyamine, which can be obtained by controlling the temperature of the distillation column, distilling the amine mixture, and separating different fractions.
